tpg tuning became a company in 2008. driven by some college kids with a niche for fast cars. we were always driven to attempt or complete things that others hadn't even attempted. as we progressed it became obvious to expand as a company. we were compelled that if we would actually devote our time to a company that we would be capable of much much more.

our name (tpg) started as an acronym for " team pump gas. " our company car at the time was a 1995 eagle talon tsi which made a 10 second pass on its first venture to the track...in full street trim. we knew that from this point on that there may be something special, not only of the car but of our capabilities. after a few years of strictly pump gas in the car, we decided to ditch the stuff and make some real power. switching to race gas we decided to stick with the name since we had already established ourselves by that point with tpg tuning.
